WHO WE ARE:
We are a small batch artisanal bread house and pastry bakery in Oregon City. We bake everything by hand every day and take great pride in the quality of our work. We focus on sourcing locally and using freshly milled ancient grains in our pastries and wild ferment breads.

This position is available immediately and requires some availability on weekends
We are looking for someone who is passionate about food and has great baking experience in a production kitchen. This position will be managed by our head baker but the ideal candidate will be self managed with little daily task monitoring. This position will have 2 dedicated pastry shifts and 2 dedicated bread shifts. We are looking for someone who has comprehensive baking knowledge across bread and pastry and a passion for both.
Primary responsibilities will include the morning pastry bake off, pastry prep, sourdough bread mixing, shaping and baking. We have both retail and wholesale accounts and need a baker who can work cleanly and efficiently in our small kitchen. We work as a team and look for ways to support the other staff in our daily duties. In addition, we are looking for someone with hustle, as we grow we are constantly getting more busy and need to build a team that can create great flow.
Execute high quality pastries by accurately following in house formulas, processes and procedures
Execute high quality bread for retail and wholesale accounts
Manage pastry inventory and product/ingredient ordering
Maintain and manage a well-organized dry pantry and walk-in
Communicates clearly and takes oral instruction well
Extensive experience maintaining a clean baking facility through daily station cleaning, dishes, and removal of garbage
1+ year pastry or bread experience in production bakery
2+ years kitchen experience
Current Food Handlers Card
Customer service experience a plus
The right candidate works well with others and takes constructive feedback well. Great candidates for our baking team need to be inspired by working with ancient grains and seasonal produce and an ever evolving menu.
